SWITZERLAND: Baselland Transport awarded Stadler Rail a second firm order to supply Tango trams on May 27.
The contract is worth SFr94m and covers the delivery of 19 metre-gauge vehicles in 2014-16. This will allow all services on the Basel region operator's routes 10 and 11 to be operated using Tango cars, with refurbished older vehicles to be used only on the shorter routes E11 and 17.
