USA: American Railcar Industries has been renamed American Industrial Transport, as part of its strategy of focusing on leasing and repair activities following the sale of its wagon and components manufacturing business to The Greenbrier Companies last year.
It will also be known by its wagon reporting mark, AITX.
‘We’ve designed our leasing business with flexibility in mind, to present efficient solutions for customer situations that are often unpredictable’, said Dean Sawyer, Senior Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. ‘We’ve embraced productivity with a young fleet tied to our best-in-class repair and maintenance capabilities.’
