ISRAEL: Railway cybersecurity startup company Cervello has raised US$4·5m during a seed funding round. Investors include North First Ventures of Israel and Awz Ventures of Canada, along with Nissim Bar-El, the founder of technology security consultancy Comsec Group.

‘As operators further digitise their infrastructure, the railway industry is adopting an active approach towards both the security of its critical systems and international compliance’, said Cervello CEO Roie Onn on July 24.

‘The Cervello dashboard provides operators with full visibility of their railway signalling systems and critical assets and alerts on cyber incidents in the day to day operation’, Onn said, adding that it ‘can be either added to support existing rail equipment or installed during the manufacturing and design process.’
