MOROCCO: On February 29 ONCF Director General Mohammed Rabie Khlie signed a six-year co-operation agreement with Enric Ticó, President of Catalunya regional operator FGC, which will see both railways work together to improve efficiency and performance.
As well as training, technical assistance and collaboration on projects, maintenance and procurement, the agreement makes provision for ONCF and FGC to form strategic alliances in areas of common interest. This could see the two companies making their expertise available to other railways or working together on international projects.
Surplus FGC rolling stock could be made available to ONCF under the agreement, which also makes provision for collaboration in the field of spare parts.
