GERMANY: The assembly plant in Aachen which has traded as Talbot Services GmbH since July 1 2013 was renamed as Talbot Holding GmbH with effect from August 25 2022.
The change in name reflects the establishment of a holding company owned mainly by investors with expertise and connections to the city of Aachen and the Rheinland-Niederrhein region. From 2013 until now, the plant has been owned by QUIP Holding GmbH, which had acquired it from Bombardier Transportation.
Shareholders in Talbot Holding are the S-UBG investment company, TPPI, Nomainvest and Dirk Reuters Beteiligungs, which is owned by Talbot Managing Director Dirk Reuters.
The site now employs 460 people, and the new owners have stated that their objectives are to secure jobs in Aachen, win more orders and gain new customers.
