Bombardier Transportation has appointed Huber+Suhner as preferred supplier for the majority of its rolling stock cables under a five-year agreement.
Container and wagon leasing company Aves One signed an agreement on August 22 to acquire 100% of ERR Rail Rent Vermietungs and 33·3% of ERR European Rail Rent. The €33·5m deal is expected to be completed in October. As of June 30 ERR Rail Rent Vermietungs owned 3 881 wagons, and the deal would take the Aves One fleet to 4 212.
Direct Tool Co has installed two reconditioned spray booths equipped with dry filter extraction and direct-fired gas heating at rolling stock maintenance company Arlington Fleet Services’ workshop at Eastleigh in southern England. ‘Having successfully supplied, delivered, erected, wired and commissioned the two spray booths we have gained more insight into the rail vehicle industry and are now already handling similar enquiries from similar firms’, said DTC Managing Director Tim Wakeford.
