Door and compartment mechanism specialist Rollon will use the Expo Ferroviaria trade show in Milano on October 3-5 to launch its DEF43Z synchronised telescopic rail. Intended for use on external vehicle doors, the telescopic rail features induction hardened raceways and has a load capacity of up to 378 kg.

Azure Power has won contracts to for the installation of a further additional 20 MW of rooftop solar power generation on Indian Railways buildings, taking the company’s cumulative awarded capacity to more than 66 MW. This will be used to provide power to various IR sites for 25 years, sold at a tariff range of Rs3·64 to Rs4·49 based on location. An IR capital incentive is expected to result in a weighted average tariff of Rs4·88 per kWh.
