Trinity Industries has announced consolidated 2021 revenue of $1·5bn and adjusted earnings per share of $0·34; in Q4 2021 the group’s lease fleet utilisation rate stood at 95·7%, with orders placed for 5 360 new wagons and 2 805 wagons delivered. Trinity expects to deliver 40 000 to 50 000 wagons during 2022 and to invest $450m to $550m in its lease fleet, generating earnings per share of $0·85 to $1·05.

The Knorr-Bremse supervisory board has nominated Dr Reinhard Ploss for election as Chairman at the annual general meeting to be held on May 24 2022. He will succeed Professor Mangold, who is stepping down. Ploss plans to resign as CEO of Infineon Technologies at the end of March.
