ROMANIA: Rolling stock manufacturer Remarul 16 Februarie has signed a licensing agreement enabling it to produce Bombardier Transportation Autorail Grande Capacité multiple-units for customers in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
Bombardier has received orders to supply more than 600 diesel, electric and electro-diesel AGC units for use in France. Cluj-Napoca based Remarul 16 Februarie said production in Romania would significantly reduce the technological gap with western Europe.
