FRANCE: Vossloh AG announced on September 20 that it had been awarded a contract worth €60m to supply fully-equipped switch systems and rail fastenings for the Tours – Bordeaux high speed line.
Awarded by TSO and Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires, responsible for tracklaying on the 340 km project, the deal will see Vossloh Switch Systems delivering switches between October 2014 and November 2015.
Having already supplied rail fastenings for slab track on several high speed lines, with the Tours – Bordeaux contract Vossloh Fastening Systems is adding another ballasted track project ‘to its prime high speed references’, said Vossloh.
