INNOTRANS: Spanish composites supplier Carbures is exhibiting its first products for the rail sector, including emergency detrainment doors for the driverless trainsets that CAF is building for lines 3 and 6 of the Santiago metro in Chile. Carbures is supplying a total of 74 doors for this fleet.

For the EMUs that CAF is building for Spanish regional operator EuskoTren, Carbures is supplying 56 driver emergency detrainment doors and 56 lateral emergency detrainment doors. These incorporate semi-automatic ladders which can be deployed by staff to evacuate passengers onto the track.

Carbures has also designed the seven lifts that will enable passengers in wheelchairs to board the tram-train vehicles that CAF is supplying for the route between Cádiz and Chiclana de la Frontera in the Andalucía region of Spain.
