INDIA: XTD signed an agreement with advertising company TDI International on September 6 for a trial of its Cross Track Media system on the Delhi metro network.
Cross Track uses billboard-sized LED screens and high-definition sound to broadcast information and advertising to passengers waiting at stations. XTD already has a contracts to operate the technology at stations on the suburban networks in Brisbane and Melbourne. This will be the Australian company’s first trial in an international market.
TDI has exclusive advertising rights to 100 of Delhi Metro’s 160 stations, and will split the commercial receipts from Cross Track advertisers equally with XTD during the six-month trial. If successful, Cross Track will be rolled out to other stations.
