SWEDEN: Load securing specialist ExTe and leasing firm AAE are jointly marketing a wagon which they say is a technically simple but economically attractive way of maximising vehicle usage in the forest products industry.
The wagon offers the flexibility to carry the most common loads for the forest industry. The top structure was developed by ExTe, and features bolsters to carry five piles of 3 m logs or three piles of long wood. Alternatively, the wagon can carry ISO containers without needing alterations.
The maximum load is 66·7 tonnes, and the loading surface is 18·5 m long.
The wagon is based on a standard Sgnss bogie container flat, a type which makes up a quarter of AAE's fleet of 25 000 wagons.
