RUSSIA: Transmashholding’s Bryansk Engineering Plant has obtained certification for its Type 19-3058 hopper, which has a higher volume capacity that its previous design of wagon for the transport of grain and bulky food products which need to be protected from the weather.
BMZ plans to deliver at least 100 of the wagons this year.
The new design increase the capacity from 112 m3 to 118 m3, while the payload remains 70·5 tonnes. The 4 800 mm overall height is lower than the previous model, enabling it to access all terminals.
There is no centre sill, facilitating unloading through a new slide-gate mechanism which provides improved control of partial or discharge, as well as protection against theft.
