AUSTRALIA: Wabtec Corp's MotivePower subsidiary announced an order to build a further six standard gauge MP33C locomotives for leasing company CFCLA Rail JV on June 5. Delivery is scheduled for 2014.
The joint venture of CFCL Australia and Marubeni Corp previously ordered 10 locomotives in 2010.
'This additional order demonstrates CFCLA's confidence in our locomotive product, and builds on Wabtec's strong presence in Australia', said Wabtec Chairman & CEO Albert J Neupaver. 'These locomotives will meet our customers' needs for more efficient equipment, and will position Wabtec for similar opportunities globally.'
