EUROPE: Eurostar has confirmed that it will not be running the direct service between London and Marne-la-Vallée, the station for Disneyland Paris, from June 5 2023.
The operator said ’whilst we continue to recover financially from the pandemic, and monitor developments in the proposed EU Entry/Exit system, it is important that we focus on our core routes to ensure we can continue to provide the high level of service and experience that our customers rightly expect.
‘Passengers can still enjoy high-speed rail travel between London and Disneyland Paris via Paris or Lille.’
Eurostar said ‘we will revisit options for 2024 during the course of the next year.’
The confirmation on August 26 came two days after the cross-Channel operator said that it would not be serving Ashford and Ebbsfleet stations in the UK in 2023, and would not make any commitment to call at the two stations ’for another two to three years’.
