UK: The HyderWSP joint venture which main contractor Costain has appointed to undertake detailed design work for the rebuilding of Network Rail's London Bridge station has selected CCD Design & Ergonomics to provide human factors consultancy services.
'Our work will be to help create the optimum environment for all station users, making it the best possible experience for staff and passengers', said CCD Managing Director David Watts.
'Using the collected data, we will have a real insight into passengers' needs in terms of easily finding their way into, through and beyond the station. We will be drawing on our knowledge and expertise in understanding human behaviour in spaces, and linking this to graphic design within an architectural context to support the creation of a highly efficient and effective wayfinding system.'
