Track

SERBIA: Infrastruktura Železnice Srbije has begun dismantling 435 km of track on lines which were abandoned between 1978 and 2014.

The move is expected to generate €2·7m through the sale of scrap metal.

Novi Sad based company ZGOP is undertaking the work.

The lines are:

  • Bečej – Senta (35·8 km);
  • Senta – Kanjiža (17·1 km);
  • Sečanj – Jaša Tomić (10·4 km);
  • Sombor – Bački Breg (25·3 km);
  • Sombor – Riđica (28·1 km);
  • Vladimirovac – Kovin (40·9 km);
  • Bečej – Vrbas (36·9 km);
  • Zrenjanin fabrika – Vršac (81·2 km);
  • Horgoš – Kanjiža (13·5 km);
  • Karavukovo – Bač (13·4 km);
  • Petrovaradin – Beočin (14·4 km);

  • Kikinda – Banatsko Aranđelovo (32·9 km);
  • Sombor – Apatin fabrika (21·6 km);
