INNOTRANS: Bookings for the next InnoTrans trade fair in September 2022 have already matched those for the 2018 event, according to organiser Messe Berlin. More than 103 000 m² of floor space is expected to be reserved by the October 15 deadline, and the 3·5 km of outdoor sidings is almost full.
A feature of InnoTrans 2022 will be hub27, a newly-built multi-purpose hall offering 10 000 m² of additional exhibition space; this is already fully booked.
‘Exhibitor demand is high’, confirmed InnoTrans director Kerstin Schulz on September 28. ‘The addition of hub27 means we can expand the overall area of InnoTrans’.
So far 64% of exhibitors are from outside Germany, with 57 countries represented. ‘It is nice to see most exhibitors have remained loyal to us during the pandemic’, said Schulz. ‘those who initially cancelled their participation for understandable reasons are gradually coming back. We see that everyone is keen to finally come together again for the industry’s global platform in September 2022.’
