HANNO: The Hanno-Tect heat insulation and noise reduction foam will be hidden behind the interior trim of the 82 Desiro HC partially double-deck electric multiple-units that Siemens is to supply for Rhein-Ruhr-Express services, but will be on show on Hanno’s stand at InnoTrans 2016.
Hanno-Tect open-cell foam reduces overall noise and vibration inside a vehicle. The fibre-free and dust-free foam can easily be cut to size by a conventional cutter, which makes installation quick and cost-efficient. It has a low weight of 7 kg/m3, hydrophobic impregnation to prevent the absorption of moisture, and can permanently withstand temperatures up to 180°C.
