INNOTRANS: At this year’s event, industrial software company Zedas will be highlighting its Cargo Train Check mobile app which supports wagon technicians by providing paperless train preparation functions in the field.
For the train check, the pre-assigned wagon data is automatically loaded from the logistics management tool and displayed in the application.
In order to reduce manual input processes when some train or wagon information is missing, Zedas has integrated an AI-based wagon number identification option for freight operators. The software automatically checks the wagon’s UIC registration number and then retrieves the keeper’s technical wagon master data via a GCU Broker and imports it into the Train Check app.
Further advantages of the app include:
- paperless train dispatch;
- automatic brake performance checks;
- the wagon list and brake check information can be called up at any time;
- dispatchers, customers and infrastructure managers can be informed simultaneously of changes to the train’s operation;
- elimination of manual typing means errors and gaps in information can be minimised.
