PESA: Bydgoszcz-based rolling stock supplier Pesa will be showing three vehicles on the outdoor display at InnoTrans 2016. It will also be signing a memorandum of co-operation with Ukrainian Railways on its stand on September 20.
On display will be a Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn Link diesel multiple-unit, which was recently certified for operation in Germany. NEB placed a €27m order in August 2013 for seven two-car and two three-car Link DMUs. These are equipped with MTU engines that meet Euro IIIB emission regulations, and are able to reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h.
Also on display will be a 160 km/h Dart electric multiple-unit. Pesa has supplied 20 of these eight-car EMUs to PKP Intercity under a 1·3bn złoty contract.
Pesa’s tram range will be showcased with a Krakowiak low-floor vehicle from its Twist family. At 42·8 m long, the four-section tram is the longest in Poland. Kraków transport authority MPK Kraków ordered 36 Krakowiak vehicles for 291·2m złoty.
