ARGENTINA: Buenos Aires metro operator EMOVA has awarded Alstom a contract to overhaul five five-car trains over 19 months.
Alstom will perform the work at its workshop at Los Hornos, overhauling the bogies, brakes, couplers and pantographs of the CNR-built trains to improve performance and extend their useful life by 10 years.
The trainsets are used on lines A and C.
‘This contract with EMOVA is very important for us, it is proof of our customer’s trust in our services expertise and know-how to maintain part of its rail fleet’, said Ernesto Garberoglio, Alstom’s Country Managing Director for Argentina, on August 29.
