ROMANIA: Compania de Transport Public Cluj-Napoca put 25 Solaris Bus & Coach trolleybuses into revenue service on February 4.
A further 25 of the Trollino 18 trolleybuses have been delivered under the 115m złoty contract. These are currently awaiting registration ahead of the opening of three trolleybus routes in the Transylvanian city.
The 18 m long twin-section air-conditioned vehicles have a capacity of 142 passengers, including 43 seated. The drivelines including e a 250 kW traction motor are supplied by Škoda and are fitted with a supercapacitator energy storage system.
