VIETNAM: The first metro train has arrived in Hanoi, and is due to begin test running on the elevated metro Line 2 at the end of September.
CRRC is supplying 13 four-car trainsets, with the remaining 12 due to be shipped in three batches. The first train took a month to reach Hanoi from China, travelling via the port of Hai Phong.
The 13 km Line 2 is being built by the Sixth Bureau of China Railway Engineering Corp. The elevated alignment will link Cat Linh in the city centre with Ha Dong in the south, serving 12 stations.
