’VOSSLOH in motion’ is the slogan adopted by the companies of the group, who are exhibiting on three different stands.
While the highlight of Vossloh’s InnoTrans presence will be the Euro4000 diesel-electric loco (RG 7.06 p402), other products of interest will also be on show in Berlin.
These will include a solar-powered passenger information display designed for stations and tram stops, which benefits from the latest developments in the use of electronic ink to produce easy to read information systems with low power consumption.
Vossloh IT has developed Electronic Paper Displays for use on trains, trams and buses, and a Hamburg Hochbahn metro car has been fitted with a display to test whether electronic ink is viable as a replacement for LCD and LED displays.
