NETHERLANDS Railways’ passenger business NS Reizigers announced on February 10 that it had placed an order two days earlier for 252 double-deck EMU cars worth a total of 1bn guilders. The units will be the first to be designed for future operation at 25 kV 50Hz as well as 1·5 kV DC.
