A consortium led by Interglobe and Nonolite International is offering to build a 25 km elevated light rail line connecting Shahdara in Lahore to the new airport on a build-operate-transfer basis. A Memorandum of Understanding enabling project development to proceed was signed by the Punjab government on August 24.
