BOMBARDIER will be formally launching its Traxx DE diesel-electric locomotive at midday on September 20, the day after Technical Project Manager Dr Christoph Schätzer will give a presentation on the loco in the first of series of seminars being organised by the Canadian firm.
Also on show in the outdoor area of InnoTrans will be a Traxx MS loco, along with single-deck driving and intermediate cars supplied to Nord-Ostsee-Bahn.
Components on display will include a bogie from a Guangzhou metro car, ERTMS and ETCS onboard equipment, and EBIlock 950 and 500 interlockings. A train simulator will incorporate the latest Mitrac train control and management systems, and Bombardier will also be explaining its ideas on trends in passenger information and entertainment, along with the company’s Orbita maintenance concept.
