Croatian Railways has returned to service the first of its dining cars to be refurbished by TVJ Gredelj. Finished in a similar livery to HZ’s modernised first and second class coaches, it is being used on EuroCity services.

Taipei Smart Card Corp has begun trials with 100 BenQ mobile phones which have smart cards compatible with the EasyCard used on the metro. Passengers will be able to make payments at stations, on buses and in car parks using the handsets, with commercial launch planned for 2006.
From September 6 Toronto commuter operator GO Transit transferred services from the former Milliken station on the Stouffville Line to a replacement station on a different site. The C$4·5m relocation allowed improvements to accessibility and the provision of 680 parking spaces.
