Milan Fryc has replaced Jirí Kol? r as director of the Ustí nad Labem region, and on December 1 Ursula Broschov? took over from Miroslav Klich as Director of the Ostrava region. Klich has replaced V? clav Starecek as CD's representative in Warszawa. Miroslav Jasenc? k has replaced Ales Krejcí as Director of the Praha region.

Norman Y Mineta is to continue as US Transportation Secretary, the White House confirmed on December 9. Deputy Transportation Secretary Kirk Van Tine has announced his resignation with effect from December 31.
