Nilo Ojeda has replaced Gabriel Gurméndez as President of Uruguayan State Railways.

Julio De Vido has been appointed Minster of Federal Planning, Public Investment & Services in the new Argentinian government. Ricardo Jaime is Secretary of Transport and Julio Montaña Under-Secretary, Rail Transport. Roque Lapadula becomes head of the National Transport Regulation Commission (CNRT).

Ron Bilodeau has been appointed Vice-President, East, at Canadian Pacific Railway.

Koos Braam has replaced Henk Donker as Managing Director of Dutch regional operator NoordNed.

Alan Dyke has been appointed Managing Director of Union Railways (North) Ltd, taking over from Walt Bell who moves to parent company London & Continental Railways as Projects Director. LCR Treasurer Mark Bayley becomes Finance Director of the Group. Chairman John Neerhout plans to retire at the end of the year, and Chief Executive Rob Holden will become Executive Chairman in January 2004.

On June 16 Jirí Vencl stepped down as Commercial & Operations Director of Czech Railways, and was replaced by Jirí Kloutvor. Ivan Foltyn becomes Deputy General Manager for Economy on July 1, replacing Jan Bukac. Petr David was appointed Director of the General Manager’s Office on June 17. Jan Raym was appointed Czech Railways representative to CER on May 28.
