STATION platforms can be assembled quickly and easily using the Fast Build range of pre-cast components recently launched by Bell & Webster Concrete.
The basic parts comprise four identical base units, a platform unit, ground beams and infill panels. These form a 4m by 3m module which can be assembled on pre-prepared foundations in 90 min.
The platform slab weighs less than 6 tonnes, and the other components are under 1·5 tonnes. Apertures can be formed for services or support columns, and the infill panels can support brick, block or stone walling. In addition to standard modules, custom components for unusual locations can be cast to order.
