The LEDs have a service life of 70 000 h, and according to Graham Round of manufacturer Marl are 'easy to install, require no maintenance, create very little heat and are excellent in high-vibration applications such as trains.'
Medway Galvanising has supplied a Mono Hinge self-closing gate for Warrington Central station in northwest England. Fitted on a lengthened platform to prevent unauthorised access while permitting emergency egress, the gate meets a site-specific need to avoid having a fixed post to close against.
