Fahrenheit 50200MT low toxicity fire resistant cables are being used to connect substations and tracks on the Oslo metro, extending Aristoncavi’s range of cables into medium voltage applications. Gisette Atox NPI cables are being used in high-risk areas on Caracas metro lines 3 and 4, along with Fahrenheit 50200-22 cables which will remain in operation for 90min at temperatures of 850íC.

Nexans has begun supplying the Bombardier Sifang Power joint venture with 1210 km of Flamex 750 power cables and 1114 km of Flamex SH20 control cables. The low temperature cables will be used in the construction of 173 carriages for the Qinghai - Tibet railway, where they will have to withstand temperatures down to -40íC.

SNCF has begun rolling out SeeBeyond’s eGate integrator to manage announcements and the real-time display of train running information at major stations. A pilot installation was installed at Marseille St Charles, then similar equipment was installed at Paris Lyon in May. A further 60 stations will follow by the end of this year.
