Dynamic Train-Track Interaction: Linear and Non-Linear Track Models With Property Scatter
by Johan Oscarsson
A doctoral thesis emphasising the influence on track-train dynamics of the ballast mass, non-linear characteristics of the railpad and sleeper support and track structure properties. The inclusion of ballast-subgrade inertia permits modelling of resonant behaviour. For a weakly state dependent railpad the difference in results compared to a linear model was negligible.
