TORONTO Transit Commission Metropass season tickets have been made transferable. Monthly and weekly tickets can be passed between staff in a small business or to other family members, as long as only one person is using a particular pass at once.
Student and senior passes can only be passed to other students or senior citizens. Bulk discounts will also be offered to companies with at least 50 employees buying season tickets. The change is expected to cost TTC up to C$2·8m annually, but it is hoped it will increase ridership by over 2 million.
