CORUS will be launching Silent Track at the BahnBau section of InnoTrans, where the full range of the steel-maker’s rail products and infrastructure services will be on show.
Developed in conjunction with Southampton University’s Institute of Sound & Vibration Research, Silent Track uses tuned dampers to tackle rail noise at source, and can be fitted to existing infrastructure with minimal changes.
Micro head-hardened rail, Sogenox rail for urban networks and a scale model of the company’s modular platform kits will be available for inspection. Staff will also be on hand to discuss the range of design and technical consultancy services offered by Corus.
