Transportation Technology Center Inc has launched a company to handle engineering consultancy in Europe.
A subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads, TTCI operates the testing facility at Pueblo, Colorado. President Roy Allen said on January 5 ’we will be able to better meet the needs of our growing customer base in the UK by having engineering and research staff resident in London.’
In December TTCI(UK) Ltd signed a contract with Network Rail ’to conduct vehicle-track system research to improve and optimise asset life extension’. Managing Director Firdausi Irani said he was ’looking forward to working with Network Rail to implement real-world, practical solutions for managing this very important interface’.
Irani believes the UKsubsidiary will ’provide a good base for leveraging TTCI’s North American experience with the railway technology needs of Europe as a whole’.
