Chicago Transit Authority has introduced new signage at O’Hare International Airport to guide people to the metro Blue Line station. ‘Travellers now have clearer, more-defined directions to and from the Blue Line, which is the most affordable — and typically the fastest — way to travel between O’Hare and downtown’, said CTA President Dorval R Carter Jr.
Paris transport authority Ile-de-France-Mobilités has called tenders for the construction of the €9m Orly Airport station on Grand Paris Express Line 18. Completion is planned for 2027.

Construction firm Keltbray has awarded Socotec a contract to monitor the effects of the Elephant & Castle redevelopment programme on London Underground’s Bakerloo and Northern lines and Network Rail assets. Socotec has worked with Osprey Measurement, Geosense, Sick Sensors and Topcon to design the monitoring system. ‘The logistics of installing the monitoring system are challenging’, said Senior Project Manager Dave Jones.
Reconstruction of Okruzhnaya station in Moscow was completed on November 3, providing ‘dry feet’ transfers between Central Diameter 1, Central Circle, metro Line 10, Sheremetyevo Aeroexpress and bus services. Deputy Mayor for Transport Maksim Liksutov said passengers did not previously perceive the stations as a single node and preferred to change elsewhere, but it is now ‘a modern, convenient megahub that allows passengers to make a large number of interchanges’.
