PRIOR to the announcement that Eurostar would transfer all operations from London Waterloo to St Pancras when Section 2 of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link opens in 2007, Arthur D Little and FaberMaunsell conducted research into the perceived journey times by public transport to the two stations.
FaberMaunsell’s South East Regional Rail Model was used to study passengers from 1200 areas of London and southeast England. The number of journeys from each zone was identified, and used to calculate the revenue at risk from the transfer.
H Broadreach launched its ReadytoSurf wi-fi service at Eurostar’s London Waterloo International and Ashford International stations on December 14.
