Australia: Western Australia’s Department of Transport has appointed a Parsons Brickerhoff/Aecom joint venture to support development of the A$1·9bn Perth MAX light rail project.

Germany: Keolis Deutschland has selected Scheidt & Bachmann to supply a ticketing system including mobile terminals, onboard and station ticket vending machines and a back-office system for three regional networks operated under the Eurobahn brand.

Poland: Koleje Mazowieckie has awarded Autocomp Management a 2·27m złoty contract to supply a driving simulator. KM has also installed 84 ticket vending machines supplied by ASEC.

USA: Alaska Railroad has awarded TÜV Rheinland Mobility’s Rail Safety Consulting division the second part of a two-part contract to assist with the development and deployment of PTC (p78).

Los Angeles County MTA has extended Cubic Transportation Systems’ fare collection equipment support service contract for a further six years at a cost of $54·5m.
