SPAIN: Catalunya regional operator FGC has decorated the interior of one of its trainsets in the style of the crypt at the church in the Colònia Güell designed by Antoni Gaudí.
The train’s ceiling, doors, walls and seat backs are decorated with 3M Envision vinyl incorporating details from the World Heritage Site, including columns, stained glass windows and pews.
FGC’s first customised train interior has been developed through an initiative of the operator and the Barcelona provincial authority with the collaboration of 3M, Grup ESSA, Nogales Barcelona and Advanced Leisure Services.
FGC offers tourists a combined ticket which includes a return rail travel to Colònia Güell station, entrance to the Gaudí crypt and an audio guide.
