ITALY: Industry leaders will gather at SmartRail Europe in Roma in June to learn about the latest innovations and challenges facing the rail sector across the continent.
Organised by Railway Gazette Events and taking place on June 13-15, SmartRail Europe is supported by Italian national infrastructure manager RFI. The conference will provide a valuable opportunity to gain insights into an array of strategic topics from ERTMS and advanced train control to post-pandemic recovery, cybersecurity and the goal of increasing ridership.
SmartRail Europe has a core focus on innovation in rail, and this is reflected in the list of confirmed speakers, which includes Robert Hanczor (CEO, Piper Networks), who will be covering advanced in train centric technology for mass transit; Dr Bernd Drapp (Director of Innovation, AP Sensing), who will provide an introduction to Fibre Optic Sensing in rail applications; and Aivaras Liutvinas (CEO, Blue Bridge Code), who will delivering a step by step guide to digital transformation projects.
