SPAIN: An Inclusive Trains initiative to improve the employability of people with learning disabilities is being launched by specialist training body Fundación Juan XXIII with backing from the Alstom Foundation.
A course starting in January will provide training to help people into jobs such as providing onboard assistance or supporting station staff.
The Alstom Foundation is financing the recruitment of teachers, job coaches, psychologists and support staff to develop and deliver the course, which will cover topics such as the structure and organisation of a station, assisting passengers, catering roles and how to respond to emergencies.
The course will include both theoretical and practical modules in real railway environments.
