USA: The Interdependent Ecosystem of Wheelsets is the theme for the 20th International Wheelset Congress, which is to be co-hosted by Amsted Rail and MxV Rail at the Drake Hotel in Chicago from May 8-11 2023.
The event is held every three years. This year’s four-day programme will feature more than 70 technical papers from 20 countries on six continents, in addition to networking opportunities and an optional technical tour.
More than 300 attendees are expected from freight and passenger railways around the world.
‘Chicago is the epicentre of the North American rail system, and home to Amsted Rail’s global headquarters’, said Amsted Rail Vice-President of Global Engineering Jay Monaco, who is a member of the 20th ICW technical committee. ‘We’re excited for the opportunity to bring the IWC community to Chicago, a city that is rich with history, experts and enthusiasts of rail.’
