The International Exhibition for Track Technology (iaf) will open its doors in Münster from 20 to 22 May 2025. Under the motto ‘Track to the Future’, the world’s leading trade fair will present innovative solutions for the challenges in modern track construction and railways. Preparations are already in full swing.
The iaf, the world’s leading trade fair for track technology and railway construction, which takes place every four years, is preparing intensively for its next edition. From 20 to 22 May 2025, Münster will once again become a global meeting place for experts, companies and trade visitors from the railway industry.
The organiser, the German Railway Engineers Association (VDEI), expects more than 15,000 trade visitors and over 150 exhibitors from all over the world. ‘Preparations are in full swing to make iaf 2025 another highlight for the industry,’ explains Prof. Birgit Milius, President of the VDEI. ‘With our motto ‘Track to the Future’, we are focusing on the connection between machine technology and digital solutions in order to further increase efficiency and sustainability in track construction. ’
The trade fair offers a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in track technology, with 15,000 m² of hall space, 6,000 m² of open space and more than 3,000 m of track. Visitors can look forward to a presentation of large-scale machines for track and superstructure, innovative software solutions and a varied programme of lectures. ‘Those who want to secure an optimal placement should not hesitate – stands are still available,’ says Constance Petzsch, managing director of VDEI-Service GmbH, which is responsible for the organisation.
Visitor registration has also already been activated. Interested companies and visitors can register and plan their trade fair appearance or visit via the website www.iafmesse.com. The iaf 2025 promises not only to be a showcase for the industry, but also an important platform for exchanging ideas about the future of rail transport. Topics such as digitalisation, sustainability and the development of high-performance networks will be the focus of the event. With the iaf, the VDEI is once again emphasising the central importance of an efficient rail infrastructure for society and sending a clear signal for the future of the environmentally friendly railway as a mode of transport.
