ARGENTINA: Following tests, national railway Ferrocarriles Argentinos has selected Radwin’s FiberinMotion train-to-ground communication system for deployment on 100 passenger vehicles used on the Buenos Aires – La Plata route.
Radwin’s multi-service platform will initially support CCTV and VoIP communications. Project implementation will be managed by Radwin partner Datastar.
‘During the proof-of-concept phase Radwin’s FiberinMotion demonstrated high throughput of up to 300 Mbps and zero packet loss’, said Datastar Project Director Fernando Mele. ‘By implementing this state-of-the-art train-to-ground solution we will provide Ferrocarriles Argentinos with the performance and reliability needed to support critical applications and scale to support future services such as wi-fi and passenger information systems.’
