FRANCE: CARL Software has won a contract to supply its CARL Source asset management software to the Mesea joint venture which will maintain the track, signalling and electrification on the 300 km Tours – Bordeaux LGV Sud Europe Atlantique high speed line which is under construction for opening in 2017.
The software will be used for asset management, maintenance planning, resource scheduling, documentation management and optimising stock and purchasing processes. The CARL Touch package will enable deployment on smartphones and tablets, which 150 staff will use for tasks including geolocation, entering reports in real time and managing spare parts.
