TICKETS: Mobile payment specialist Penrillian and smart ticketing software developer Ecebs announced an agreement to combine complementary mobile ticketing technologies during the Transport Ticketing & Passenger Information Global 2016 conference and exhibition in London on January 26.
Ecebs is now Penrillian’s preferred Part 11 provider for the white-label Voyager app, which enables users to plan, purchase, download and top-up transport tickets and passes directly to a smartcard via their mobile device.
‘The integration process was very smooth and has allowed us to deliver ITSO compliance exceptionally quickly’, said Penrillian CEO Joanne Thompson. ‘While integration with Ecebs’ Remote Ticketing Download enables additional new ticketing opportunities for Penrillian, we expect Penrillian to provide Ecebs with the established skills to deliver the mobile ticketing applications that the market needs today and in the future.’
